New videos coming soon to TimScottTV will be mashing up some of the tunes in Acer Studios for a series of videos to be released in the coming months.
See you on the tour in 2012!
It's been an exceptionally busy few months since the launch of my new single 'Amy Jane' which is now selling fast from Amazon and iTunes.
Total Guitar (magazine) put it at number 9 in their top ten recommended tracks to download this month. CityLife included it in the three single reviews that they have each week achieving more stars than Lily Allen's latest and Sound on Sound also gave it a very favourable review in their January 2010 issue.
Bald On The Inside' has been repackaged and re-released across all the digital download networks: iTunes, Amazon mp3, etc with '4:AM' (4am And I Can't Sleep) released as a single from it.
Angel Dust' has been released as the first single to be taken from 'Guitar Mashing' with a new extended version 'Angel Dust (Naked Sunset Mix)' which also features as a bonus track on the 'Amy Jane' CD single now available exclusively on Amazon and selling fast.
I've been really enjoying getting back on the road, the gigs have been completely fabulous with a good turn out everyone has had a great night. I'm looking to book more dates next year would be great to see you there as it's always a wicked night. For more info visit the tour dates page or join my 'Tim Scott - Guitar Mashing' Face Book group.
I've been in the studio commencing work on a new album due out next summer that will feature a new mix of 'Amy Jane' as that is the first single to be taken from it. Sales of 'Guitar Mashing' through Amazon and iTunes has been picking up pace with purchases as far away as Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Europe, America and of course the UK still increasing steadily.
Ibiza's Secret Garden' is still my biggest selling tune on iTunes with 'Angel Dust' close behind and 'Amy Jane' catching up fast.
2010 will be great year as 'Guitar Mashing' becomes more and more popular, giving a true alternative to mainstream pop and all the remakes of old formats.
'Guitar Mashing' is truly a fantastic product that will sell and sell, and as people demand something new, I believe that this will fill the growing gap in market for music innovation.
The recording of a Pop Video for 'Ibiza's Secret Garden' is almost complete and I hope will soon be available on You Tube. It contains a cameo from my good friend Judge Jules filmed at 5:45am as we left the Pure Manchester together.
I've still been very busy working in the studio creating some stonking new tunes that will establish the heavy weight sellers for my third solo album.
The first tune to break free from this project is called 'Amy Jane' which has completely blown everyone away and is due for release in the next month to six weeks as a single on iTunes with special limited edition physical exclusively through Amazon UK.
It has a similar instrumental dance style to Chicane's latest tune 'Poppiholla' which reached number 7 in the UK charts last week but with a guitar hook to die for you will not want to miss this immensely catchy Guitar Mashing masterpiece.
I'm planning to release a series of singles in the run up to the release of my next album that is now due for release late next year.
Meanwhile Guitar Mashing has been growing in popularity and will explode hitting the main stream in a very big way soon.
The 2nd series of the Our House TV show Manchester is well under way and over the last few weeks I've had the pleasure of playing some seriously crazy live Guitar Mashing stunt guitar for each show which I have to say has been a total blast.
With a live performance of 'Angel Dust' taken from my most recent album Guitar Mashing and also an exclusive interview for the 2nd show of the Our House Manchester series 2 will be aired early next month on the http://www.ourhouse-manchester.co.uk/ and http://www.kerchoonz.com/ourhouse websites.
The latest show we filmed included a live performance from The Fun Lovin' Criminals which I have to say was totally awesome to be part of. They even asked to play my Pink Telecaster for part of their set as they were blown away by its utter glam camp uniqueness.
I'm playing during the next three shows so be sure to check them out as they hit The Our House Manchester stage on the http://www.ourhouse-manchester.co.uk/ and http://www.kerchoonz.com/ourhouse websites.
It's been a hectic few months getting Guitar Mashing's international album launch truly up and running.
The national press in the U.K. have given some fantastic reviews with Guitarist Magazine describing it as 'painting with sound' going on to say that '... this album comes very highly recommended.' awarding it a whopping four stars.
Total Guitar Magazine summed it all up perfectly by saying 'Tim Scott breaks boundaries by mashing his guitar mastery (think Steve Vai and Joe Satriani) with chilled Ibiza sounds.'
City Life described as 'ferociously funky' and '...aiming squarely for the mainstream.' with Guitar & Bass Magazine following suit by describing Guitar Mashing as 'Slick instrumentals' containing 'Wonderful technique'.
The album is now available internationally for download on:
iTunes
Napster, Amazon, Lala, Trade bit, Spotify, and Great Indie Music so far.
You can buy the CD in the UK from Amazon at

If you like the album please enthuse to as many of your friends as you possible, as I firmly believe that this is the way that great news travels the furthest.
I'm counting on all my family, friends, acquaintances, and fans to spread the word wherever they maybe.
I know that this project will quickly spread far and wide with a little help so I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all in advance for helping me out and I hope I can return this favour some day.
I'm already back in the studio recording some new tunes with the idea of continuing the Guitar Mashing brand.
I'm planning some live dates for later in the year so if you want to be kept up to date why not join the mailing list on the home page of http://www.timscott.co.uk in only takes a few seconds.
The first national press reviews of 'Guitar Mashing' hit the news stand this week with Guitarist magazine giving it a fantastic write up and a mammoth four star rating. That's one more than Guns N' Roses, Tom Morello, and Nickelback... get in!
You can find the Guitarist 'Guitar Mashing' review on page 160 of the February 2009 edition.
There are more reviews due in the next editions of Total Guitar, Guitar and Bass, and Guitar Techniques all due out at the end towards the end of this month. Guitarist has invited me to do a video lesson/feature for their cover CD/DVD in a few months time which I promise will be full of fresh ideas.
'Guitar Mashing' is available on exclusive pre-full release through Amazon UK. It's officially released on the 29th but may take a little longer to filter through the system.
I've already started writing and recording new stuff for a sequel to the 'Guitar Mashing' Album maybe the 'Guitar Mashing the Annual 2009' or 'Guitar Mashing II' any correspondence is always very welcome.
I'm planning some live dates for later in the year so if you want to be kept up to date why not join the mailing list on the home page in only takes a few seconds.

It's been a hectic but invigorating few months with the 'Guitar Mashing' product now finally ready to go. I'm truly thrilled with the way it's turned out its proper sic... lol (English synonym ill).
'Guitar Mashing' is a remarkably new and yet artistically diverse album that I'm sure you'll truly love and be totally energized by.
My driving inspiration for 'Guitar Mashing' was to create a stunning collection of memorable yet individual guitar tunes that emanate today's all important 'X' Factor immediately craving that magical mass appeal.
With fat bass lines and kicking drums all skilfully mixed together with Latin percussion and fabulously topped off with ultra spacious production, this is a sure fire hit.
Without doubt there has not been an album that could potentially be as big as this since Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells.
'Guitar Mashing' features the now synonymous 'Ibiza's Secret Garden' which is by all accounts an exceptional track and has subsequently been remixed by Radio 1 DJ Judge Jules for his next artist album.
'Guitar Mashing' also features a stunning super postmodern version of J.S. Bach''s classic, Prelude in C which would be as at home on Radio 3 as it would be backing the Premiership highlights on ITV.
To top off this world beating project Guitar Mashing has been mastered by "Geoff Pesche" at Abbey Road Studios. (Geoff's CV includes: Coldplay, Kylie, Basement Jaxx, The Arctic Monkeys, The Spice Girls Plus many more...)
Last but not least it sounds better loud so turn it up!
We took a 'Punky Penguin' (Plastic toy filled with ice cream usually found in Chinese restaurants) to the first session at Abbey Road and left it as a present for Geoff Pesche who was totally overwhelmed by our generosity.
I can say with some certainty that Guitar Mashing CD's will be available pre full release in the shop at timscott.co.uk by the last week in October.
There is a possibility that some download samples will be available before that but it depends how quickly the scheduled web site text overhaul comes together.
I'm going back to Abbey Road to re-master two of the tracks that have befitted greatly from being subtly reworked in order to meet the stringent rigours of the commercial Mastering process and also it's an excuse to see if the 'Punky Penguin' is still there...
The tracks that are finished sound utterly superb they are unbelievably clear it's F**king Amazing listening as Gordon Ramsey would say.
Abbey Road, without doubt has the best equipment, but more importantly the best engineers who understand how to extract the best results from a given project in a professional time scale it's been a fantastic experience and I would love to do it again.'
Geoff Pesche's work on Coldplay's material alerted me to a sound I immediately knew I wanted for Guitar Mashing. The clarity is that of a 24bit studio master but at 16bit and levelled for the consumer market but totally crystal clear.
On the CD the tracks are segwayed so as one fades out the next fades in. This gives the CD a unique feel and continuity which will not be available on i-tunes although the individual tracks have already been cut to suit the i-tunes store and will be available individually there soon.
I'm currently looking at venues for an album launch party/gig and will post more details as they are confirmed.
I went out to Ibiza this August to relax during the radio 1 weekend. It was really great meeting some of the Radio 1 DJ's, Producers and Crew again at the Radio 1 barbeque up at Judge Jules villa. Judgement Sunday was outstanding as always.
I even got to meet some of the Dirty Sanchez boys who got unfeasibly drunk with one dragging the other down the stairs at the back of V.I.P. like a sleeping bag very funny search it on U-Tube it's bound to be there.
Feeling very excited about the prospect of finishing this CD. I have a Mastering session booked in the next week or so with Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios, London which will put the final sheen on this phenomenal project.
Geoff was recommended to me as he has mastered stuff for Mike Oldfield as well as Coldplay, The Spice Girls, Gorillaz, Basement Jaxx, Simon Webbe, Kylie Minogue, Athlete, and Dizzee Rascal. Over the duration of his career, Geoff has also worked with New Order, Dubstar, Marc Almond, Chris De Burgh, Kenny Thomas, M People, Beta Band, Strange Cargo, Aphex Twin and Therapy among many others.
I'm still in talks with various distributors but expect to sort something very soon.
The artwork is all completed the cover or 'Guitar Mashing' logo looks much like a miniature Jackson Pollock with splatters of bright green and deep pink digital paint.
'Guitar Mashing' will be available first from this site by the middle of October so make sure you get your orders in quickly as this will be an exclusive first pressing pre official release that will be selling on Ebay within months for lots more money guaranteed.
In late August Acer Studios was dismantled for a week to redecorate with a fabulous new carpet installed by Desso. It lends a slightly brighter sound to the room which is defiantly a plus to the overall acoustics for any future projects that I'll be handling.
I'm in the final stages of finishing my second album 'Guitar Mashing' with the final mixes coming together a treat. There is only a small amount of recording left to do on the final track. There will be twelve tracks in total on the CD.
The cover artwork has been prepared by Laura Turner who has done an exceptional job with a very striking green and pink paint splatter design and scratched Guitar Mashing text logo which is remarkably eye catching.
The CD will initially be available on the web site by early September with distribution still in negotiations it will be a short while longer before it hits the shops.
The track that has been re-mixed by Judge Jules for his next CD is also due out sometime in the autumn a far as I can tell.
It was great playing live with Jules in London a few weeks back; you can see the pictures on the gallery page.
I'm planning an album launch party sometime in the autumn so visit back for details if you would like to among the first to hear the new material live.
Playing at the launch of Desso's prestigious London showroom this month was a fantastic opportunity to play live again and show off some of my fabulous new material, and also give a welcome few day break from the relentless studio regime of late.
The second album is defiantly on the way... because let me tell you if it was a gourmet meal it would satisfy the harshest of food critics with ease.
All being well it will be finished in the next few months as work is now moving very quickly with the last few years of recording research paying the reward that had been sought.
I even re-amped some acoustic guitar in the hall of my flat this week with astounding results. This entails sending the signal through a speaker in the afore mentioned tilled room and then miking the ambiance of the space and mixing it back with the original signal to create a richer perhaps more citrousy sound.
I''ve used this re-amping technique extensively throughout the entire recording of this CD; from Bass to Percussion and Drums, making it all sound lively and fresh so it will jump out of your stereo in a magical 3D image.
There has been a lot of re-mixing of previous tracks with some sections re-recorded entirely to meet the strict criteria I've laid down to make it sound flawlessly smooth.
This glass smooth sound takes some work as each part has to be polished individually. There is no magic plug-in to do it for you.
It's been good to get back to performing some commercial sessions this year as there seems to have been somewhat of a resurgence back to live music rather than the automated Virtual Guitarist plug-in's which is good news for musicians and public alike.
If you love 'Crazy Guitar Mashing Mayhem' make sure you get down to my Ministry Of Sound debut gig alongside Judge Jules as part of the Judgement Sunday tour in London at the end of next month.
Please visit back for more updates on the second album, future sessions, gigs and collaborations.
